07:30 AM – Pick up from your hotel
Your private Egyptologist guide will greet you in the hotel lobby. Relax in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle as you leave the bustling city of Cairo behind, heading south to the land of the earliest pyramids.
08:30 AM – Discover Ancient Memphis
Step into history at Memphis, the very first capital of Ancient Egypt. Here you will stand before the colossal statue of Ramses II, admire the beautiful alabaster sphinx, and explore open-air treasures that tell the story of Egypt’s earliest dynasties.
10:00 AM – Saqqara & the Step Pyramid of Djoser
Continue your journey to Saqqara, one of the most fascinating necropolises in Egypt. Be amazed by the Step Pyramid of King Djoser, the oldest stone building in the world, dating back over 4,600 years. Wander through decorated tombs filled with colorful carvings that reveal scenes of daily life, rituals, and offerings to the gods.
12:30 PM – Lunch at a local restaurant
Enjoy a tasty Egyptian lunch at a high-quality local restaurant. Relish authentic flavors and take a short break before continuing your adventure. (Beverages not included)
01:30 PM – The Dahshour Pyramids
Travel further south to the royal necropolis of Dahshour, where the genius of King Sneferu is on full display:
The Bent Pyramid, with its unusual angular design that shows the first attempt at creating smooth-sided pyramids.
The Red Pyramid, Egypt’s first true pyramid, where you can even enter the inner chambers for a thrilling glimpse into ancient engineering.
03:30 PM – Return journey to Cairo
Relax on the drive back as the desert landscapes unfold outside your window, reflecting on the extraordinary monuments you’ve just visited.
04:30 PM – Drop-off at your hotel
Arrive safely at your hotel in Cairo or Giza with memories of a day spent exploring the very origins of pyramid building in Ancient Egypt.
